FWD Tiguan models are rated at 22/29 mpg, while the all-wheel-drive is estimated at 20/27 mpg instead. VW Atlas models with the base engine are rated at 21/24 mpg, with all-wheel-drive changing it to 20/24 mpg. However, the V6 is estimated at 17/23 mpg with FWD and 16/22 mpg with AWD.

The 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan can tow up to 1,500 pounds, while the VW Atlas has a maximum tow rating of 5,000 pounds.
